Drone Education in the RGV

For the past two weeks, FIRST RGV, INC and Pharr San-Juan Alamo Independent School District (PSJA) have been working together to get more than 35 teachers from their law enforcement / health sciences departments certified as a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 107 Unmanned Aircraft Pilots. This is a perfect matching of skilled drone personnel with educators that are interested in promoting science, technology, engineering and math (STEM).

Programming / Coding – Drone for Flight

This program did not require coding / programming, but FIRST RGV executives have finalized a student based educational program. Flying a drone at 100mph requires technical skill as well as good hand / eye coordination.

This program offers a 100% pass guarantee

Instructors are people that have been in the drone industry (Public / Private) for years and have real world experience in education and drone operations. Each class can be customized based on the needs of the customer / school district.

We are proud that PSJA ISD chose FIRST RGV for this powerful program. Proceeds from the week long class will help support other STEM programs offered by FIRST RGV; such as its international robotics program and special needs robotics programs for students in K-12.
